G-Force wins for 2D to 3D Converted Feature of the Year

The International 3D Society handed out it’s inaugural 3D awards on Tuesday, February 23, and G-Force won for 2D to 3D Converted Feature of the Year, recognizing the groundbreaking conversion work. In-Three is proud of the work we did on G-Force and the integral part that Dimensionalization played in winning this award. We would like to thank all of our artists that worked so hard on this project and would also like to thank Walt Disney Studios, Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Sony Imageworks for being great partners.

Congratulations guys! It was a pleasure working with you and overseeing the roughly 500 (non-VFX) shots converted by your team. A unique challenge on the overall project’s nearly 1900 shots was assuring consistent quality and 3D experience by all the vendors (Imageworks, InThree, Sassoon and Asylum) despite radically different conversion techniques. The fact that the shots from each vendor would be inter-cut made the task that much more challenging. We are proud of the work on the film and delighted to share in its recognition as well.

Excellent News! In-Three will be a top contender before long, especially considering her strategic partnership with Reliance MediaWorks. I expect to see top flight stereoscopic 3D films in the future, and look forward to conversions of all our favorite old movies as well as a great deal of new ones!
